I reckon this video is Extremely Amateur, its quite hard to define this as parkour as none of the scenes are, I know that im in no way the expert but even i can do proper vaults and jump from at least a single storie building, also climbing a tree is nothing special. P.S. I do still like the Start relating to District 13's chase scene

mega lame, this video really was pointless. i mean REALLY pointless like at 1.12 and1.18 when the kid running away jumps over those things which makes him lose like two seconds while the other guy catches up, you should have gone straight over instead of truning, that just made it look stupid, and at that other bit where he chases you through the woods and then you turn right straight away but he jumps over a rock a bit pointlessly which slows him down

It depends. Typically planting both feet will make blocking easier, and it will therefore be easier to vault taller objects, but you won't go very far. If you are going for distance then do the one foot takeoff since you are going for a longer vault rather than a high one so blocking isn't quite as essential.

Vault over a picnic table on grass sideways, jumping from further back each time, then lengthwise, should help. I find outdoor garbage cans (the plastic, rolling, lift-lid ones I have, at least) a great second step as well, because they are taller (a bit above the waist) and can be arranged for different dimensions. Most importantly, they fall over ad don't hurt. Remember, though, splitting the legs to land on one is very important for a clean finish, although you may well have learned by now

This is exactly what happened to me. I split my rotator cuff very bad. Not tore split. The doctor explained it to me like how when you smash a bouncy ball so hard it just cracks in half. I hit directly on my acromion shoving it into the rotator cuff so hard it split. I have to go trough physical therapy and have to have steroid injections. I have been doing parkour now for a while and just started getting into tricking. I think sometimes you just make mistakes.

Similar injury just happened to me 3 weeks ago... Tried a flat ground gainer, unfortunately it had rained the day before and was still a little slick...my support leg slipped out from under me and landed pretty hard on my shoulder, luckily not my neck... Turns out I separated my collar bone where it attaches to the shoulder Same thing as you, have the small lump, prolly gonna be there the rest of my life, but no biggie :) Thanks for the encouragement Epic

guyz if u have the fear of failing, hitting your toes or simply landing on ur face just put on shoes, elbow pads, knee pads and wrist protectors or whatever there called and then u just keep on saying to yourself if i fall i will not hurt myself because even if u dont wear safety gear what could realy happen maybe a grazed knee or a sprained wrist which would be unlucky or at the very extent and u would have to be very unlucky or simply really unfit and overweight a broken arm. hope this helped.

I'm trying to do the monkey stall thing, but I keep on snagging my foot below the table and falling on my face, and I'm having trouble keeping my knees from knocking into my arms, though my feet are together. Is there any kind of stretch that could get me prepared for the stalling thing?
