Homeboy is clearly superhuman. Watching him get CAUGHT by Daniel Craig in Casino Royal almost made me throw up. BULL***T. Now way he was catching dude even with his stuntman lol. Hold on Guys, argueing about the name itself isnt good. The more experience you get from moving the more wisdom will be given to you. As for me, 1 year ago i had a name to everything i did. But that just create a barrier to what one move is and that is not freedom. Now i don't have a name on what i'm doing and since i learned that i just move, I developed a own style and have so much more fun then argueing whatever its called freerun och parkour. But Parkour for me is the dicipline.

After the white people take it then it's a "universal" Culture...just like dreads and all other black peoples' culture. Ive noticed that, Its like when David does flips and twist and back flips and handstands, everyone calls it Parkour. When Sebastien does the exact same thing. everyone hates on him and says its not Parkour, Its Freerunning. Just seems a little racist to me. I know the french army created it . But the two of these guys started "Modern Parkour" together. They grew up together. They own 50% of the name Parkour together, I'm pretty sure they borrowed from one another as they grew up together.

I don't know about that man. David Belle does more flashy urban gymnastics in his vids. He pushes himself hard but that's what makes his stuff fun to watch. Sebastien on the other hand takes it easy and doesn't like pushing his limits so much. He doesn't do a lot but what he does he does very smoothly and without a lot of strain. Sebastien can tear shit up when he wants to though. See his Casino Royal chase scene to know what I'm talking about.

hmm.. don't think so Parkour and 3running are different things! For Freerun is Important to move not how it's important to move yourself beeing creativ is also an important thing in freerun. You can't explain 3run with spectacular parkour because they are different sports! Parkour is efficient move from A to B straight forward with fast movements like normal Passment. Thats what I think about both :P

2 things wrong with that 1 free-running is a sport, they have competitions all over the world, and 2 raymond belle was TAUGHT the skills as a means to escape or to reach the destination quickly and easily he then taught these skills to his son david belle, he and his friends turned it to the urban landscape, david belle himself said that it originated from his fathers war training. I like Bond's technique in Parkour, where to get from point A to point B he literally destroys obstacles in a truck, jumps on vans, runs through walls and takes advantage of elevator like objects, and in the end when the property owners ask him to leave, he just blows up the entire place.

The only real downside is that they're not very obtainable at the moment, unless you order them, and they're quite expensive. But yeah, you're right. All you need are a good pair of running shoes. Then again, some people use bear feet :P.

no. Both parkour and freerunning where born out of "l'art du displacement" Freerunning is pretty much the same but it's what Sebastien called his way. Parkour is what David Belle practices and is focused on practicality - efficient movements purely to get from A to B.

Sebastian is a legend, but apparently he sucks at designing shoes. Seriously I have these Ariakes and they suck for what they are designed for. The underside of the toes is completly flat and smooth, meaning that if you're trying to precision to anything smooth and thin you're garunteed to slip right off. And it makes doing wall tricks on anything smoother than treebark freakin' impossible as well.

you are corrrect, in a way. freerunning was made around the same time periiod as parkour so it didnt "take" from it. it branches off of it and adds flips and tricks which is how you, as foucan put it, express yourself.

@hippyboy98 No doubt, Sebastien is tough to follow, but remember what Bond is As good at route improvisation as someone like Sebastien is, a VERY experienced combat agent would be far quicker at exit analysis and prediction of a pursuit than a recreational athlete like Sebastien. If he didn't get away really quickly, he'd make a mistake that left Bond waiting for him. Where Sebastien will run up a wall and over the roof, Bond will bust a door and be waiting for him on the other side.

@BeforeTheDrop Not exactly. The gap is just a little longer than he is tall. It looks to be about 7ft. I have a friend who can jump 7'2" from a standstill. It's not really hard at all considering this. Sure, it might be scary, but it's just because they emphasized the height. The jump? might be scary, but the only way you could fail to jump it is if you slipped.

You morons, it's definitely 10ft. You can tell by the estimation of him being over 5'5" . When he jumps the gap, it shows a secondary view coming from below him. Take that view into thought. Turn his body horizontal, what do you get? Nearly, if not more, than two of him. So stop talking crap and go do a jump like this yourselves. being a freerunner myself (who used to do solely parkour) i will say that freerunning IS kind of like parkour. yeah they are different but they still sure as hell have similarities. in my experience, people who go about smashing out the fact that "FLIPS ARE NOT PARKOUR FREERUNNING IS WASTED MOVEMENT" (not saying this is you), are mostly the people that aren't skilled or gutsy enough to execute this "wasted movement".
