This should be one of the best AIC album ever I recon. Although Duval don't really sound good when covering Lyne's songs but he does a magnificent job on this one. He got in AIC since his vocal tone matches pretty well with Jerry's... I think they're made the right decission... it could have gone worse...

The samples on Norman Records are first 30 secs of each piece and that doesn't tell much about a track. Especially not about an Autechre track. I snipped out the pieces that highlight some of their trademarks. In any case, like with any of their albums, it needs to be played from start to finish in one listen.

When I heard the clips on Norman Records, I was fairly disappointed (to the extent that I hoped they were phony), but these samples - while obviously being taken from the same tracks - show a lot more promise. There's something very familiar about the feel of these tracks, but they seem to transcend a lot of what's been a bit cliche about Autechre for the past five years. on a side note, "St. Epero" sounds very very close to Q's "Chenc9".

I personally am not saying he did not have the natural talent to play because i dont know him and i have never heard any young recordings of him playing. Meant to say he's had to work pretty hard at it in comparison to others. He definitely has a great ear, and other natural talents, but as professional trumpet players go, he's had to work pretty hard. There are quite a few pros that, once they reach a certain level, are able to maintain technical skill with only a few hours of practice, and take large breaks away from the horn (Timofei Dokshizer, for instance would take only a couple of days to regain top form after a long vacation.

@brizzlestick, i think it's because most trickers are actually about 5'5-5'9 or something like that cuz that's make them lighter cuz they're small but anis is about 6 feets wich is a bit taller but what he has is that he has so long feet and arms so when he kicks in the air or just swings his legs it creates so much spinning force that his legs just kinda like throw him up in the air!

@1337Oxim no it doesn´t unless they change their policy on those who bought suite 8 which I have, and the latest update I had a free update from 8.0, to 8.1, so I don´t know if the next update would be free, I will have to wait and see for 9.0 of live. But its worth the money to get suite 8, and ableton live support team, really do care about the customers. Hope this was of any help.

He did move fast in the video. If someone doesn't have an idea of how synths/samplers work, I could see them getting lost. The technique he used is actually referred to as wavetable synthesis by some. All in all, I think it was a great video and it really shows the programming depth of Sampler.

I wasn't as crazy about Sketches as I was and still am for Subject and Some Kinda. The first two cd's were so cold, I might have to go buy duplicates because I play those out. Everytime he hits with a new cd, I'm at the store. I got him to sign the first two at a concert he did at the Green Dolphin in Chicago about 3 years ago. If I have his pattern down, he should be blessing us with another one next year (every two years). LOVE YOU DWELE!!! GIVE US MORE!!!!

You know, when you really look at them, some of those end over end kicks could really work in a fight. Look at the techniques like the "double leg" and other variations of it, if you do that to someone, as fast as he does it, I'm sure it would land and do some damage. It's pretty much like a drop kick only you are landing ON the person instead of kicking into them. I could actually see that working.

Yeah it is... LOL. But it's all cool Bboy. I tore it rollerblading, and my legs went two different ways.The one that was stuck still went and went until it bent in, and something tore out. It feel out from under me. My first day, I learned, and ro9llerbladed, and then I hurt myself badly. That shit debilitates you, and you have to either have surgery, or learn how to use other muscles and things to stabilize your movement. Either way, it's no good. Good luck with the Breaking.
